If ITV do want him to appear, maybe they should stop their petty games regarding Corrie and Emmerdale stars appearing on his show first?

I wouldn't have thought ITV have any involvement with the casting.

No you are probably right on most occasions, but they seem to make it their business when it comes to Paul O'Grady.

It was Paul who banned himself from ITV not the other way round, see http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/reality-tv/paul-ogrady-quits-simon-cowells-new-itv-show/ so that's why he is able to appear in The Bill

Yes, you forget to mention though that just one of the moronic methods ITV used was to refuse Paul's team a studio at the supposedly independent 'The London Studios'. Studio 2 there is hardly ever full on weekdays anymore, and their refusal to an independent production company was pure spitefullness. Oh, and there's the whole nodding busters palava but let's not go there...

I watched an early clip of PO'G on ITV on "enbarssing moments!" (or something like that - he looked young, but the set looked so crap!

Yep that was when they were in Studio 3 at TLS as opposed to 2 - really small studio and Loose Women can keep it Laughing

I've got a recording of the 2nd ever episode (from when ITV repeated it) and the set was so different back then. There was no dresser behind him at first. The set was more modern than chintzy like it was later. The opening announcement was also done by someone else for about the first week

I've got a recording of the first ever show, from the second part- the set is so tiny! So, is this the set which is now used by Loose Women?

No, but it's the same small studio. (small in comparison to 1 and 2 anyway!)

That's what I meant- was it the same studio for the first series of Paul O'Grady which Loose Women is now filmed in...
