ITV could persuade her. She probably wouldn't go against Paul though, seeing as they're very close.
TO be honest since ITV lost Paul I feel that there evening entertainment/chat shows haven't performed well at all. I think ITV were stupid for not recommissioning Des and Mel, but believe that that Entertainment chat shows actually perform better, for ITV1, in the 1pm to 2pm slot (or as it would be now 1230pm to 130pm) - I think Sharon would have done better there, as well as Richard Hammonds show and feel that Cilla would do great there with possibly some prime-time specials

Ummm, so was Paul and Richard & Judy... didn't stop Paul...
True, but they were all OK about it at the time (reportedly). He's at C4 now anyway, I reckon that R&J was one the reasons why he moved across. I think they may have influenced him, especially if he was falling out with ITV. Plus I believe R&J wanted more time off, to visit their house in France etc
Cilla and Paul are extremely close ("like an old married couple" as they sometimes say!). Although R&J are friends of Paul, I don't think they have the same bond As I said earlier, R&J were fine about going against Paul at the time they were rivals, "different type of show".
The whole "sofa-wars" buisness was more of a spat between producers than between presenters I think!
Paul just said he ends this week, but R&J are not back till Jan, what is going to fill the 5pm c4 slot?

It's Super Deal or No Deal in which the popular daytime gameshow is extended to 1 hour and 45 minutes as each day contestants randomly open 122 boxes hoping they don't reveal the £250,000!

Be careful, don't be giving Channel 4 anymore ideas.
