ITV could persuade her. She probably wouldn't go against Paul though, seeing as they're very close.

TO be honest since ITV lost Paul I feel that there evening entertainment/chat shows haven't performed well at all. I think ITV were stupid for not recommissioning Des and Mel, but believe that that Entertainment chat shows actually perform better, for ITV1, in the 1pm to 2pm slot (or as it would be now 1230pm to 130pm) - I think Sharon would have done better there, as well as Richard Hammonds show and feel that Cilla would do great there with possibly some prime-time specials

But if ITV moved those types of shows to the 12.30pm slot what would they find to show at 5pm?

Bradley Walsh is meant to be doing a show on ITV at 5pm but I expect it will be next year before that starts as apparently he is now on screen on Corrie until December.

I thought the idea was that he would stay in Corrie, albeit in a reduced role, but do the programme aswell, so that it would most likely come from Manchester.

The only problem that ITV have is that a programme with Bradley Walsh would be too much like Paul O Grady, but even though showing it Jan - March and June - Sept means that they would miss the vital Christmas advertising.

The only thing that I was thinking is if they had a similar programme later in the schedule, at somepoint during early primetime, though I suppose it could only work if they put Emmerdale & Corrie in the 7-7:30 slot sun, mon, wed & fri, with The Bill going at 7 Tues & Thurs and then air the programme at 8pm. Though then you'd have to put Tonight with Trev and regional programmes somewhere.

And then they'd still have to find something to fill 5pm. Unless they moved the news to 5, had an entertainment show at 6 leading into soaps, etc.

Now I see where ITV have their problem.

10 minutes in and Cilla seems to be doing OK. Obviously not as good as Paul, but she's OK. Mind you, I would say that, being from Liverpool and all.
