As we have already established...doesn't look as though we're going to get anywhere with this.

From TVRecordings.com...

THE 5 O’CLOCK SHOW is LIVE on ITV 1 at 5pm from Tuesday 3 January 2006.

From the team that brought you SO Graham Norton and The Bigger picture,
THE 5 O’CLOCK SHOW is your essential guide to everything that’s happening in the nation.
If you’re talking about it at home – we’re talking about it on THE 5 O’CLOCK SHOW.

Presented by Richard Hammond (Top Gear and Brainiac) and Mel Giedroyc (Light Lunch with Mel and Sue and Blessed) THE 5 O’CLOCK SHOW brings interesting stories, people and information to TV in a fun and funny way.

Does that make it anyone else cringe? I hate it when shows pitch themselves like that..it's incredibly Rolling Eyes Alan partridge always springs to mind.[IMG]If you’re talking about it at home – we’re talking about it on THE 5 O’CLOCK SHOW.

Yes, I can just imagine, "On tonight's show... What's for tea? Could that skirting board do with a lick of paint? And what are Ken and Jean over the road's plans for their new extension?"

I predict that you should maybe watch it before casting judgement.

It might be good but Paul O'Grady has developed quite a fanbase for that timeslot. When the more established Des and Mel were put on there they couldn't keep his audience.

Unless Paul starts working 52 weeks of the year what do you suggest?

Paul's back in March I believe anyway, so its only about an 8 week run

In America they have chatshows where the hosts are on all year round, and when they're on holiday they get guest hosts in or show repeats. Maybe all year round would be too much and ruin a ratings juggernaut, we definitely saw that with Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

How many months is The Paul O'Grady Show on for?

He wouldn't run all year....he can't even be arsed to do 5 days a week Rolling Eyes
