That wasn't Dot Cotton. It was some woman called June Brown apparently, probably a friend of 'Joyce'.

Lisa Brash should be interesting on Tuesday.
London Lite, Jon and bilky asko gave kudos

Emma clearly wasn't cut out for a show like Paul O'Grady - she's the sort of presenter who essentially needs to keep on script rather than think for themselves.

This is the same Emma Willis who's probably presented a similar amount of unscripted TV as Mr O'Grady if not more in her time, and is held in high regard for ability to do so. I can't comment on her performance on the show, as I've only a small clip with Dot Cotton going mental, not something Mrs Willis could control.

As I said before, her performance was poor. The end of the show was particularly bad. People I know commented on how bad she was, which hasn't happened with any of the other guests.

Notably, Graham Norton did much better with June Brown when she guested on his show recently, and she was probably more off the wall on there.

EDIT: I think it's also important to consider that Paul O'Grady is a comedian, so is probably much more of a natural with unscripted situations than Emma Willis.

I'm struggling to think of any unscripted programmes Emma has been part of?

If you mean Emma has more experience of live TV (which is of course heavily scripted), I would say Paul has done a lot more, from The Big Breakfast to Lily Live, to the various incarnations of The Paul O'Grady show and Paul O'Grady Live. He also covered for Des O'Connor on Today with Des & Mel, along with filling in for Richard & Judy.

She must have done hundreds of hours for sister show's for both Big Brother and I'm a Celebrity. Which of contain interviews and spontaneous features and debates, debates something that The Paul O'Grady Show doesn't handle. She's also covered on a few occasions for This Morning.

On shows like BBOTS, This Morning and Loose Women, interviews/features/debates are heavily scripted (particularly the host's involvement) so there is little room to be spontaneous.

Are you suggesting the hosts involvement wouldn't be scripted on POG to the same degree? Because I think it would.
The Big Breakfast to Lily Live, to the various incarnations of The Paul O'Grady show and Paul O'Grady Live. He also covered for Des O'Connor on Today with Des & Mel, along with filling in for Richard & Judy.

So all those shows are all hugely different to This Morning in the way they're put together?

Questions or topics for certain guests will be pre-prepared, but there is a great deal of the show that isn't scripted.

I was saying the exact opposite actually. I was citing those examples to say that Paul has done a lot of similar television to Emma, and more of it, in answer to the person who said Emma was more experienced in that type of programming.

Lisa Brash (of Seven Little Girls Sitting in the Back Seat music video fame) will be appearing on the programme on Tuesday as part of a feature on how to present a shopping channel, as part of National Shopping Day. Paul apparently called her personally.

Well, in the space of just over a day, Lisa Brash has revealed that she is no longer doing the Paul O'Grady show due to his continued illness. She said she is hoping she can do it some other time.
