It also states the show starts in September, and will compete with The One Show.

I wonder if it will be made in HD. I noticed that his production company are not making the new Channel 4 show in HD which is a surprise. I did hear that that was one of the stumbling points with the potential Sky contract.

If they did that, they could call the show "2 Old Ladies" or "Drama Queens Nightly"
It May be if itv are trying to go in that route do you think it will alternate with johnathon ross and also i can see it been repeated either on a saturday morning or saturday night after the late news .

I take it will be from 7-8 pm then but I wish we would here some more news about it thanks for the link intrestigng read
and thus Corrie loses ANOTHER slot and so does Emmerdale.
It would make better since to have him on at 9pm.

It's possible his new show would be filmed in HD to promote ITV1's channel, seeing they're pushing it at the moment, mostly with Corrie of course.
Also, if the budget has been cut for Channel 4's product [it looks it by the set size and use of previous series clips], I doubt it could afford HD. Besides, the red on the desk if blinding enough without it being high def!

It would be quite good actually if Corrie/Emmerdale did lose the 7-8pm slot on Fridays. Corrie could still air at 8.30pm and perhaps the Sunday episode could be reinstated to make up for the loss of the earlier Friday episode. Emmerdale would be fine to air Mon-Thurs IMO, as they have 2 eps on Thurs anyway.

Be interesting if they have the budget and manpower to make films of the quality and variety The One Show has day in, day out. The One Show commission from BBC production departments in Belfast, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester and also independents across the UK (including indies in Leeds and Southampton) to get their range and depth, and almost all of their films are very much reporter/presenter led. Don't see ITV doing that.
Also don't see O'Grady fitting into that kind of magazine show - surely it's far more of a star vehicle than an ensemble piece? (On The One Show the studio presenters are usually only on-screen for around half the show)

Just woundering when o gradys itv friday tea time show will start and what the format will be will there still be features like there were or will it be more magazine to rival the one show and do you think having both o grady and ross with new shows on the same station will work

Yeah, not sure how Paul would fit-in to a semi current affairs-ish programme. Especially when recalling that The One Show itself was billed as a semi current affairs/magazine/entertainment programme, loosely based along the lines of Nationwide.
Does Paul manage an ear-piece well?
