Does anyone know if Passport to the Sun is returning for a new series this year? It was exactly a year ago that the last series begun airing on BBC1, so I was just wondering if a new one has actually been commissioned and/or filmed.

As far as I know it doesn't do too badly in the daytime ratings, and it really is a great show. It'd be a shame if it had been axed.

I read in a TV Mag somewhere that the BBC had said the programme had come to it's natural end - they are not planning on making another series.

Its not coming back as far as I know however BBC1 is airing a New Series called Living in the Sun which sounds very simular. Its hosted by Nadia Sawaliah.

So you might want to check that out 10am - 11am weekdays on BBC1

Damn, that really is a shame. I've watched the show off and on since Series 2, but last year was the first year I actually managed to catch the whole series and I loved it.

When I went to Majorca about 2 years ago, I met the guy from the 2nd series who proposed to his wife on stage.
