Well what do we reckon? Parky chose his own guests for his last series? So far we've had Michael Palin, Sir David Frost and Dame Diana Rigg.

Its like a coffee morning. Wink

Parkie and David Frost are sitting so close that I thought they just gave each other a peck on the lips.

Erotic.

I think they're both deaf..well I think Sir David's slightly hard of hearing now.

I'm already looking forward to Parkinson Now and Then on UKTV Gold.

TBH I haven't watched Parky since he moved from the BBC in his fit of petulance over his MOTD-friendly scheduling. The ITV show didnt flow well with him saying "be back in a moment" for ad breaks, the larger, less intimate set which insisted on showing the audience, the crappier music and intro titles....

....may the show rot in piece. Shame, cos the Paul McCartney edition was superb.

Usually they just cut to an ad break at the end of a conversation, to avoid breaking up the flow. But people complain about that as well

(edit: As Andrew mentioned..) He doesn't even introduce the breaks anymore - they just cut from a funny or serious moment in chat straight to adverts. Don't know what's worse to be honest. I've always seen it as a BBC show I must admit. The studio was laid out better and it had a warmer late night feel to it.

The final show (probably with Billy Connolly as guest) ends on 1st December.

It's on at 11.20pm tonight. ITV are taking the Michael a bit here aren't they?
