I was watching Seinfeld on Paramount earlier, and couldn't help notice this is appearing during the breaks, it shows the current logo falling into a hole, so is there any news on a presentation or logo change? If there is it's very odd timed, as they've recently gone onto people idents (like those awful old UK Gold ones) but with a comedy hint to them.

Does anyone have any news on what this maybe about? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere yet...Confused:

Maybe they'll swap the slots of Everybody Loves Raymond and Two and a Half Men! Bet you, it will be that!

I've been to see if there's any info about this on their website, but the only thing that comes close is an article explaining why M*A*S*H has moved from Paramount to Paramount 2, so it appears the schedule is being cleared somewhat.

I miss the old PText that was fantastic, it was more than comedy, I believe P744 used to give you the full list on channels on Astra 1/Sky Analogue. Embarassed Though one problem was that you couldn't get it until 7.00pm.

Maybe the change is refering to it's EPG number. Isn't Sky shuffling them around soon?

I know Paramount will soon be adding a +1 channel to the EPG sometime this month (not sure on the date), perhaps any presentation update is connected to this?

Paramount +1 launched along with ABC1 on Monday.

Come to think of it, the changes at Paramount could be in relation to ABC1 launching on Sky and going 24 hours a day later in the month, since they both show similar stuff.

It's not the EPG move, that's not until October/November,

And it's not Paramount +1 as this has already launched.

Could be simply... a new logo?

Though there's not much you can do with the Paramount Pictures logo and the word "Comedy"...

The old Paramount Text (NOT Ptext) was indeed fantastic. A detailed schedule going a month ahead was one of it's particular highlights. Paramount also made a big deal about the fact that it was made in house by a dedicated team rather than being just another skeletal heap of crap by Intelfax, looked after by people who also had to look after 10 other teletext services.

Rather oddly then, Paramount decided to withdraw Paramount Text and replace it with...Ptext, made by Intelfax, and crap.

Now why would they go and do a thing like that?

Speaking of the old Paramount Text, one of it's most popular features, if not the most popular feature was Mailbox.
Aside from being just a bog standard teletext letters page, with comments and complaints about programs shown
on the Paramount Comedy Channel, it very quickly became an open forum for anyone to talk about anything.

I was one of the regular contributors to Mailbox, as Greg from Machester, then Gregarious Greg, and eventually
the name I've used on the internet for ages now, DJGM. So, do any other TVF members, remember Mailbox?

And even though Paramount Text is no longer with us, Mailbox continues on the internet here. A small
numb[er of the regulars from the old Mailbox still send messages in. I might even send in a message!
