I thought they'd scrapped this for 5 Select.

I thought they'd scrapped this for 5 Select.

Me too, but wasn't 'My5' replaced by 5PRIME 5SELECT instead?

So technically is Comedy Central UK the original Paramount Channel that used to start up at 7pm when Nick UK used to closedown?

Why? A network doesn't suggest multiple channels does it?

Someone thought so in the 80s: "This is Sky One. Part of the Sky Television Network". (Of course, having a Sky One without a Sky Two...)

But you had sky movies... News and sports.

By it's definition you can't have a network of one thing. When used in a single channel name it's just an Americanism

It is a network of Paramount channels across the world. Simple.

It might be an Americanism, but it's a UK version of a US channel which it will be sharing programming with, so it makes sense branding wise.

How long before they call it 5 Paramount?

5 Paramount just sounds a bit off to me, glad they've stuck with Network.

5 Spike sounds bad enough.
