Dire EPG positions!

No carriage on Virgin Media or Freesat confirmed as yet.

Surprised they are keeping it so low on Sky and not giving it 5 STAR's ridiculously high slot instead. 5 STAR can't rate that well for them, it's a channel that doesn't know what it wants to be and has very bland presentation. and programming. Give Paramount a chance to be seen by as many people as possible and get it on 128.

On Freesat, it will not get to sit with the 5 branded channels so will have to settle for a lower down slot unless 5 drops one of the +1's.

57 on Freeview is another awful slot. It should be taking the higher up 5 STAR spot as well, or even 5 USA's slot at 20.

More suicidal channel slots... it’s awful to see no logic be put in these channel placements for networks with potential. One I didn’t understand is when A+E launched BLAZE on 83...

It's a bit daft to call it Paramount Network when it's only one channel, with maybe a +1 variant added at some point in the future.

Cartoon Network was once a single channel though...

The Style Network was also a single channel.

Disney XD was originally Fox Kids Network too. It's just an Americanism. They say network to mean one channel, whereas we say network to mean a family of channels (i.e Sky, as opposed to just Sky One).

An Americanism it might be to refer to one channel as (name of the TV company or whatever) Network, but of course they also have actual the likes of CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox that are actual networks. One of our US resident members could clear it up ... but that might be better for a separate discussion thread rather than clogging up this one with off-topic chatter.

(I used to think it was strange that Cartoon Network was only one channel back when it still was.)

Is it not even going to be in HD?

Suppose they are aware that channel 5 is the British brand so therefore gets the higher better channel numbers that paramount network will do simples

Why? A network doesn't suggest multiple channels does it? CNN = Cable News Network (and did at launch). It just suggests a slightly 'bigger' station.
