I don't think we missed anything. The break was quite short. I assume that the breaks will be between the segments of the show, going by the programme guide given out.
What lovely music to parade the flag to and what a glorious rendition of the National Anthem. Danny Boyle should have did this.

Yes - as interesting as the 7/7 to Paralympics VT was going to the stadium with 10 seconds to go wasn't the best idea. I don't get really why they didn't do the build up from 7.30pm either considering C4 News has been cut to 30 minutes since last Monday - and they could have got two ad breaks in before 8pm enabling them to sell an extra 7 minutes of ad time during the build up.
He hopes it inspires all disabled people to get out and try sport - and then their neighbours to shop them for doing so so he can swipe their disability benefits off them. The hypocrisy of the man is astounding.

On a completely unrelated side note, the cheek of David Cameron turning up and saying he hopes the Paralympics change the perception of disabledpeople.

I assume they didn't turn Kristnan's mic down and we were hearing what he was hearing the stadium so a C4 issue I'd say.
More4 had the same sound problem so it was almost definitely an OBS problem.

The IOC are a different organisation to the IPC, and for many years the Paralympics weren't even held in the same city as the Olympics. I appreciate that any city bidding has now has to bid for both, but wasn't sure whether OBS still had overall broadcasting control.
The only reason I ask is that graphics aren't the same and they have been fairly consistent for Olympics for the last two games (although I can't remember the Paralympic Games graphics from 2008).

Although I'm guessing they probably go to breaks at the same time as Channel 4.
The IPC has a stream on their website, best keep an eye on that when C4 goes to ads.

Three sets of petals were made, by hand, one for each set of games and one used for testing. After each closing ceremony the petals are sent back to Stage One, the manufacturers, for buffing and polishing before being sent to the delegations. Each petal has the name of a particpating country engraved on in Futura.
