That's a stupid statement. The studio was the property of the BBC and it didn't belong to anyone else. I hate to say it but there may have been accessiblilty issues with using them studios anyway.


I didn't know it was BBC owned, just assumed the Olympic Committee gave them priority because they were the official broadcaster (given how strict they've been about access and media rights)! Embarassed You'd still expect something similar for Channel 4 though.

A bit weird that they went over to the Stadium at the very last minute rather than allowing a minute or two to build up the atmosphere.

I know. The countdown at the Olympics OC was one of the highlights of the entire show.

Agreed the music and detail were great. I wonder did Setanta Ireland play it. I assume it's the same countdown?

Two people doing the AD on More4. Jon Snow name checked them too.

It is obviously live (one spoke over the other just now) but scripted, I don't recognise either of them as regular AD presenters. The man is doing most of the speaking and sometimes comes in a little early. They both have accents which is unusual for AD people.

I assume they didn't turn Kristnan's mic down and we were hearing what he was hearing the stadium so a C4 issue I'd say.
