Do we know if it's still the Finnish broadcaster producing the ceremonies coverage?

I do like the subtlety of the graphics though, with the little animating squares changing to reflect the colours in the countries flags.

There were a couple of "odd" graphics in the opening ceremony, notably the one introducing Tim Berners-Lee. Maybe they saw the criticism of the normal graphics on here and decided not to use them on this ceremony?

The games time graphics are so linked into the datafeeds that generate them that I would be very surprised if they'd created a completely different set for these.

No EPG changes yet, but how overrun is it? Can't see it ending till after midnight earliest.

My apologies.

I merely misinterpreted your comment when reading through posts rather quickly. Embarassed

I was thinking you had SECRET access to such info. Laughing

Many years ago they used to announce such info on the news because electricity consumption suddenly spiked on the National Grid when everyone went to make a cuppa during the adverts, and they used to somehow convert that to an estimate of the number of viwers.

No problem, I just thought you were being pedantic/sarcastic or picking up on my 'at the minute' comment, as is standard TV Forum humour Laughing.

I'll be very surprised if this is over by 11.20pm. Its just dragging on now too. Looking forward to see if The Queen is picking her nails again half asleep when Team GB enter. It's a shame its fallen on a Wednesday because this could have got Channel 4 a massive audience, and they've just been unlucky for the most boring bit to be dominating the 9-10.30pm when it will likely achieve its peak audience.

the fireworks at the end are going to wake me up again?

After George Alagiah's bit from Lund Point, before going back to TVC for the other news, he mentioned that coverage of the ceremony was continuing on Channel 4.

Both Channel 4 and More4 have a repeat scheduled at 23:20 and then another junction at 00:20/00:25 so they could both just drop the next programme and be back on track. It will be interesting to see if Setanta Ireland handle any over run, will they encrypt at 23:30 even if the programme is still on?

Of course not.

I believe it's over-running significantly, but surely C4HD have anticipated this after the Olympic OC schedule.

This part is the beginning of the celebration for those who will take part, what follows may be more specific for the worldwide audience again. Once again 'ParalympicGB' will enter last as host nation (They're not called 'TeamGB in these games).

That will get a good cheer and lead to the cauldron lighting.

I do hope Mrs Windsor isn't picking her nails - she's not asked to do much for £200M a year! Shocked

Could have done without Claire Balding their.

45 minutes behind schedule according to Setanta.

I wonder if it will be advert-free during the overrun.
