Paralympic Closing Ceremony

My question is... WHY? ...are there no British artists available? ...and I hear Jay-Z is to follow? ...if they're going with foreign artists why not allow Psy to come in and perform "Gangnam Style" for the finale? I hear that is popular around the world at the moment.

The camerawork (or at least the cutting to shots) isn't particularly great during this Brazilian bit. They're staying on that central camera too much.

131million views in two months smacks of popularity to me...

The Paralympics have been superb, but these opening/closing ceremonies, despite the fact I've watched them both, just havent really hit the wow factor for me... they've been somewhat dull. Where I've watched the Olympic Opening ceremony three times... and downloaded the music because it still gives me goosbumps.

However... I do like the podium that's on screen now.

Edit: And now they'll be 2-3 minutes behind for the flame being extingushed. That's not good at all.

They're about 1m40 behind now, I think. Arguably it's better than them missing stuff.

That said, the whole thing is overrunning somewhat, not that you'd know from the EPG.
