The ceremony has just started on Channel 4.

I notice Krishnan is still commentator.

Looking at the running order I'll be interested to see where the breaks go.....

But at least Clare is leading the coverage tonight.

I'm watching on Setanta Ireland while it's still Free to view for UK people off the EPG... At least they don't constantly prattle on like Guru-Murthy or ruin the coverage with adverts.

Krishnan has actually been okay so far, the real test is during the athletes parade

No AD offering from Channel 4 this time. I wonder why.

Interesting too that Channel 4 have scheduled this until 23:05 but Setanta Ireland have scheduled it until 00:00. In the unlikely event that the programme does run to time, it will be interesting to see what Setanta Ireland put on afterwards, presumably whatever it is will be FTV too, as they don't seem to dynamically change their EPG. It is probably more likely that things will run to past midnight and Setanta will just abruptly cut off before the end, as happened during the Opening Ceremony.

How are Setanta allowed to be FTV anyway? You would have thought £9M would buy Channel 4 exclusive rights, at least in the UK.

Really? I keep hoping he'll shut up and just let the visuals talk. "And now the convoy enters the stadium" WE CAN SEE THAT FOR OURSELVES!

Incase you're wondering you missed very very little during that first ad break, lots of long shots as 'Rory' climbed up- clearly written into the running order as a good place to put commercials
