All though I personally like Ceefax, for the fact that extended, rare idents are normally used into the programme, I was wondering if someone could give an explanation as to why we have been treated to the pages for the past three weeks, and continuing this week, every weekday morning 6-7 and also why we had closedowns on both Saturday and Sunday night this week. Two doses of the pages in 4 and a quarter hours suggests that perhaps BBC Two is running out of programmes to show.
However I am not saying get rid of the pages as on the whole we have had good long, different, idents into the pages each morning.
I think that is rather annoying. Wake up before 7 and you have to watch teletext. I think if they have nothing better to show, they should just simoultaneously (cant spell it but you get what i mean lol) show BBC News 24.

Wouldn't that mean Breakfast would be shown (on both BBC One and Two) because of the simulcast?
only until 7am then cbbc would takeover as usual. or wouldnt it be better it cbeebies began at 6am, cbbc at 7 then cbeebies again at 8:30. that would make more sense ending ceefax (or my idea of news 24) at 6am because many people are up before 7....
Why don't they put on 'Yesterday's Choice', the main programme from either BBC One and Two that was shown the day before. It would be a good chance for people to catch up in case they missed and give an alternative to the news on One.
NO! PFC should remain! Hehe, but seriously, they can't show N24 on 3 channels at once (1,2, and N24 itself) for some reason, I've read about it before.
Who wants to watch N24 breakfast anyway, when you can get the news a whole lot quicker from reading it whilst enjoying that soothing early morning music?
The problem with the "Yesterday's Choice Idea" is that it would probibally have to be edited to remove any swearing/unsuitable footage.
Plus, the pages are a great source of information & a good alternative to Breakfast.
Just for the record, I read on another message board that the pages got better ratings than "The Hoobs" one morning, and it also does better than new "Muffin The Mule"
yeah that would be a good idea. but lets face it, anything would be better than ceefax and the news
Watch another channel then. The BBC's Breakfast programme appeals to a lot of business people and others who want to know what's going on in the world before they go to work. Kids shouldn't be watching TV on a weekday morning anyway, they should be getting ready for school. Ceefax and Breakfast / TV-am was good enough for me when I was a kid, so it's good enough for todays little rotters
