BBC Regions on Digital

I watched BBC2 the other day to listen to the local news. I switched Digital BBC2 on (I have Telewest) and it was some programme called UK Today! No Yorkshire News at all! But on BBC1 in the mornings, Look North is on! So why not on BBC2?

Coming from the other side of the Atlantic, I don't really understand why BOTH Carlton and LWT exist in London. Why can't these two licencees just merge and become one station? Please answer this question for me, cuz it's been boggling my mind for some days now.

BBC Two Idents

Do any of you think that some of the BBC Two idents, especially the ones with the old BBC logo, are a bit eerie? The ones that I find eerie are Balloon, Silk, Optic, and I guess the discontinued idents that have the music and the old BBC logo on it.

Why can't digital TV go out in 4:3 like analogue?

Why can't digital TV just go out in 4:3 like analogue. I switched my 'look' of digital to 4:3 and the sides were cut out. I watched Look North the other day on Digital BBC One and the sidebar said it was called 'Ook Orth'.

A suggestion for TV Home

Hi, I was thinking - TV Home is great, and I think it's one of the best presentation sites on the net, but what would make it better (In my opinion) is a spoof section, where people can forward you some spoof idents etc, for example, that BBC FRONT ROW ident I saw on the forum a few days ago.
