Someone from the BBC on the MHP mailing list has just said this: 'In the early hours of Friday morning, there may or may not be interesting things to see on BBC One between 3am and 4am.

Weird

I put the telly on at 1:30 earlier, and I accidently pressed 7 instead of 3. I was surprised to see the BBC Regional titles, and then 'Points West' appear on the screen.

GMTV Gold - It may be silly season BUT . . .

From what I understand, GMTV plan to run a feature called 'GMTV Gold' daily next week (0600-0925). Surely GMTV aren't just going to fill the show with old clips.

BBC WORLD Mistakes

Stephen Cole's the only presenter on WORLD who's that entertaning but he does make his share of mistakes. Just yesterday after a report ended he was caught in the 'David Dimbelby at 4:30am on Election Night' pose - sort of slumped on the desk leaning on his hand.

Mount Etna - Spectacular coverage

Jeremy Thompson proved himself to be Britain's best news anchor today with his live coverage from Mount Etna. Anchoring Live at Five from the top of Etna (great opening titles with JT appearing on camera after the 'This is SKY NEWS' ident), he was exaggerating the situtation in his emotional voice.
