Big Brother finishes within the next 3 hours. Brian will win the programme - much to my annoyance - with around 4 million votes, with Helen over a million votes off Brian's.

It may have been happening for a while as I haven't been up early enough to notice but I saw this morning that Breakfast are now using a moving background (News 24 newsroom) for the summaries on the hour and half-hour.

ITV will be showing a Saturday night programme called either The Premiership' or Premiership Today. Monday Night will have a wrap-up programme called Premiership Parliament.

Does anyone know what happenned to the promised new look from 5NEWS? They announced it a few weeks back on 5NEWS, saying 'join me tomorrow for new look 5news' well, they were wrong!!! Anyone know what's happenning? I hope they don't change it though, i like it.

Crime Channel

Sky needs a decent crime channel, dedicated to nothing but crime. It could have these programmes on it: The Bill Silent Witness COPS (american programme) Murder She Wrote Many other programmes apart from the above suggest could also be shown, and occasionally a crime film could be shown.

I went to America a few years ago and before the plane took off the news was shown and I could've sworn that I saw TV-am News from Sky - I was on a Virgin Atlantic flight. Can anyone confirm this?

Background on ITN

Has anyone noticed how the background behind the presenter on the ITN Channel keeps on changing? It's now just a pale blue shot of the newsroom (minus the white lines which probably came from lights shining on it), but last night, it changed from this at 12.

Old 'BBC Sport' ident spotted

Inconsequential I know, but I was a little surprised to hear a somewhat familiar tune playing on ET1 tonight, and then to see the old 'BBC Sport' ident! It was from 'Football, Fussball, Voetball' -- an apparently unscheduled programme filling in a gap tonight.

Anyone like the Pepsi ad where the bloke is chasing the cheetah through the countryside, and the bloke holds down the cheetah and grabs the Pepsi can from out of it's throat? That is such a cool ad! The funniest bit is when the bloke says 'Bad Cheetah!' and the cheetah licks it lips or something.

YTV is 33 tomorrow

According to TV Ark, YTV was first broadcast on 30/07/1968. That means it's 33 tomorrow. Did all other TV stations, like Thames etc all start on the same day when there was the licence reshuffling in 1967-8?
