News 24 v Sky News

Interesting that some new figures show that more people watched News 24 for the Tory leadership ballot and Archer trial result than Sky News. It meant that News 24 pulled ahead of Sky in multi-channel homes for the first time across the week.

I read on BBC Ceefax that ITN are to be replaced by a company called `Channel 3 News`(Sounds like Channel 3 North East,maybe it will go the same way)are a contender in the franchise changes,or something.

CH5 from Crystal Palace?

According to the specs on the following website, the Crystal Palace transmitter should be giving out all 6 Muxes at maximum strength (10KW). However I can't get CH5 on band 32 that is supposed to be incorporated in Mux A.

EastEnders Extra Episode

I'm thrilled that EastEnders will be shown 4 times a week from Friday 10th August onwards. On the site it says: 'Episodes will be shown at 8pm.' I presume this means that they'll be shown at 8pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and the 7:30pm slot will become vacant.

BBC Engineering Info page (Ceefax 698) says Off Air ISLES OF SCILLY . all TV . . until 03/08 Does this mean they will have no TV until the weekend, or can they pick up a signal from Redruth or one of its relays on the mainland?
