I know at the moment with all this extra news about, the daytime summaries are barely being noticed (though last night their look was used during the updates on primetime BBC 1) but there was a story at the forum over the summer that said they were going to be relaunched to be more 'pacier'.

The speaker when introducing Foreign Secretary Jack Straw this morning referred to him as 'Secretary Straw'. Was this a further sign of Britain showing that they are grieving with America at this time? Or, simply a sign of the increased use of Americanisms in the UK.
