Does anybody remember this ident: It is one that I forgot about, which was played the following week after it was announced that HTV retained the franchise for 1993. More HTV images here

Martin Popplewell defects

I'm surprised noone seemed to notice Martin Popplewell, formerly of 5 News, presenting through the night on Sky News the other night. I really can't believe that 5 let Martin go, he was better by far than Rob Butler and Charlie Stayt, but I feel that he will be a big name at Sky before long.

In today's Daily Mail it says Lara Logan will be on the sofa when Fiona is on maternity leave. This has annoyed Penny and Kate. GMTV needs to relaunch IMO. it is cheap, tacky and unprofessinal.

Commercial Advertising on TV

Does anyone else think that there is way too much commercial advertising on TV these days? It seems to be that for a programme that lasts an hour (for example), we get around 40 mins of programme and around 20 mins of adverts and for a 30 minute programme - 20 mins of programme and 10 mins of ads.
