is there anyway to receive BBC world permanently by satellite if you live in the U.S by pointing it in a certain direction like BBC Prime???

Meridian (Dover) Off Air

Well it's 1.13 and Meridian from Dover is currently off air. Satellite seems to be fine. I tuned in to see a blue screen with white writing and 'I �T �V' really spaced out at the top with some apologies for lack of programmes etc.

Just thought you lot might like to see this - it's replaced the dull boring ITV Digital stripes backgrounds which have been put up on closed overnight channels such as Granada Plus (it might have also been on UK Style but I didn't check):

Sky News Alert

Dunno about anyone else - but I was watching Sky News as the hearse containing Princess Margaret's coffin arrived at Windsor castle. As soon as the hearse appeared in shot, there was a full Sky News Alert animation (complete with bright red graphics animating) and swooshing/drum beat sound.

Regional News on Sky Digital

Hi, I do not have Sky Digital, but can someone who is using the Regional News at 6.30pm please confirm... * Does it still have the BBC ONE DOG on it ? * Still have the 'Press Red For Menu Bar' DOG on it ? I had heard that one of these things have been toned down in response to complaints.

BBC BREAKFAST changes

did anyone else notice the changes to breakfast this morning, there is now a silver tv BETWEEN the presenters, with breakfast written in red instead of white, they do different shots during interviews because of this.

One of those ITC Things after 'Tonight'

Did your region show one of them ITC Complaint things after 'Tonight With Trevor McDonald' tonight? Was it voiced locally in your region? On Yorkshire, it was the trailer man who did the very very long announcement, He didn't seem to be suited to this type of straight reading.

Many of the people on this forum are only interested in the BBC and BBC news presentations (myself included)? I am not really interested in ITV, C4, C5 or minor satellite channels (however personally I am interested in Sky presentation).
