Well there I was happily watching the 5 News Update at 1pm. It got towards the end of the second story and faded to a trailer and then ident as normal! Is it common for the timings between news and pres to be wrong? Also, is the anno recorded? The fact she didn't say a thing suggests it is.
i want to put in some practice of being a director
One of the jobs i want to do when i grow up is being a TV director. Directing a live programme like RI:SE, and i wonderd if there was any internet programms that could help me practice, like a programme that runs a film and you can change to other cameras.

I see the Beeb are using the regional BBCi system on digital satellite to show the 5 normal BBCi regions Jubilee 2002 opts. Pity they haven't updated the menu text that appears when you select a region - it still says "Look North", "South Today...
What will happen to BBCi Sports Channels after World Cup?
Does anyone know what will happen to the new BBC Interactive Sports channels on Digital Television and Digital Satellite after The World Cup and Wimbledon Tennis? Will there be Trailers for BBCi, A Caption for BBCi and 1kHz Tone , Test Card and Music, Ceefax and Music or even a Blank Screen.

I was just watching an American film and it reminded me of something I have wanted to know the answer to for a long time: What do the letters in the name of radio and TV networks in America actually stand for? For example, in Frasier, Frasier works at 'KACL'.
