IOC - BBC exclusive deal covering four games

If you mean the DVB-T/S feeds - then unlikely. "Red Button" is likely to transition to IPTV delivery - as has begun with iPlayer on Freesat / Freeview HD boxes.

Probably just as much easier to do it from a scheduling point of view - lift out a half hour show and replace with another - than try and re-mount 17 minutes (or whatever was left) and then get back on schedule.

UltraHD and SuperHD are two distinct possibilities I guess - or simply 4k? (HiVision is used in Japan for HD, and SuperHiVision is the NHK name for 8k)

Granada was often accused of Manchester bias by viewers in Liverpool and moved their newsroom to Liverpool in 1986 and hosting the first 8 years of This Morning from the Albert Dock was a massive coup for Liverpool.

Could classic Presentation come back into use?

ZDF also have a clock before the news, as do many of the regional broadcasters and even some private ones. Furthermore, there are plenty of clocks before news on the continent, including (from memory) VRT, SVT, YLE, DR, RTS (Serbia) and several Russian channels.
