They own all of Talkback Thames

Talkback Thames is owned by Fremantle, not RTL, surely?

Fremantle is the TV production arm of RTL, which in the UK is provided by Talkback Thames.

Rather bizarrely Chris Moyles was asking on his show today for "anyone to works at Central Television" because he was after a copy of a show that he saw when he worked in the region in 1995...

RTL owns the Freemantle and Talkback Thames brands (amongest others), they're both parts of the RTL Group. IIRC originally 'Freemantlemedia' is used more outside the UK, 'Thames' in the UK because it was a more familar brand

I still wish that ITV would release more Theme on to a CD, like half of the Centre game shows, tunes from Bullseye, blockbuster.. etc.

along with along those other great tune that never got put on the original 3 cds.

there probably make a mint as there still own the right to them all!

I see, didn't he used to be Moyles' old agent at one time?

Wasn't Bullseye originally credited as bring distributed by Carlton when they first started reruns of the original 80s series?

IMHO Bullseye will always be the epitome of Central Independent Television - The best manufacturer of light entertainment and decent contemporary and popular drama's.

Talking of brands owned by Bertlesmann (the parent company of RTL), does anyone know if the Grundy Productions name (mainly associated with Neighbours) has now been renamed - as discussed in another thread a few months ago?

Well I just downloaded the latest episode of Neighbours and it's still Grundy.

Yep, I've seen a few Challenge repeats with a 'Distributed by Carlton International' endcap present, I've seen one episode with a Granada International endcap, but I'm not entirely certain how many episodes they stuck this on or whether Challenge bother to show them now.

At one point in the late 1990's alot of Central's programmes that were shown on other channels or being released on Video had something called CTE tagged around them, I assume this was Carlton's first attempt at doing such a thing.
