Thought it would be good to start up a thread to post viewing figures from various sources for selected programmes. Even though many of you guys know where to find the figures, some don't. Basically, post info for ratings if you've got it - doesn't matter what show(s).

Weds Jan 11

Lost 10pm - 4.6 million
Lost 11pm - 4.1 million
Big Brother - 4.3 million
Soapstar Superstar - 5.4 million
Coronation St. - 10.4 million
Emmerdale - 8.6 million

BBC News 10pm - 4 million

I think the really big story was Who Do You Think You Are? 5.3 million coming within a hair of beating ITV and out rating Big Brother ob Channel 4.

Anyone know how C4 are currently doing in the mornings with the Celebrity Big Brother repeats, BBLB and new show Morning Glory!

I'm hoping BBLB is sufficiently flop enough to get it back into primetime - either on C4 or E4.

I thought I heard at one point Ceefax on BBC Two was getting higher ratings in the mornings than Channel 4. Then again, I may be mistaken.

A depressing statistic for the news channels is that in the early morning they are usually out-rated by shots of celebrities sleeping on Big Brother

Lost deserved those figures, even beating Big Brother which is brilliant.

I think what happend with the boat was quite unnerving, brilliant though. But 24 is my true love and I can't wait for that to comeback!! Very Happy

Really not a fan of these crappy celeb shows, so to see progrmmes which have at least put some thought into them do well makes me feel good.

I gave up on Lost about half way through as I got fed up of watching one brilliant episode followed by a couple which were dull and very average.
I'd also read the producer intended the series to last 8 years!

Lost, well lost, alot of it's ratings in it's Wednesday night airing on C4 during the series, going from an opening of around 6m to an average of 3m. However, it did perform really well in it's various slots on E4, with 1m watching the "First Look" episode and half that number again watching the second chance edition on the Sunday. Over 1m also watched the Sunday night C4 repeats.

Therefore, when you add all the figures together the audience did hold up quite well - it's just people chose to watch it at different times.

I read on MediaGuardian it's coming back in the Spring - so it's likely to lose the Wednesday slot to Desperate Housewives, and Big Brother generally takes the 10pm slot from May, so god knows where it'll be scheduled.

Yeah it's back in the Spring. Channel 4 announced at the end of the last episode with a big trailer for it, and some bloke shouting 'We can't wait either!' I was quite excited when I saw it, I didn't like the prospect of waiting until August. But I also agree that I just don't have a clue where they would put it. As you said, Desperate Housewives and Big Brother get in the way, so where would that put poor Lost?

According to Heat, Lost is back in June, which is technically Spring until the 21st even though most people think of it as Summer, so perhaps there will be time to accommodate the whole DH series before Lost returns.
