Basically it's a serious of fake obituaries set in the future pretending some Welsh famous people have died.

They know how to make entertainment in Wales....

Um, slightly...OK, totally off topic, but, can I ask, what kind of programme is this? Shocked

It doesn't sound like a very appealing piece of television...

its crap. I watched the first one and switched off. I understand Sian Lloyd is to feature in 1 episode though so i'll have to watch that!

Was the Ron Davies a bit too political for young Jez?

Awww, it's almost like the halcyon days back in the *official* Wales thread. All we need is TV Dragon to arrive with some penguins and we will all be happy. Smile

PS I can't believe that Lucy Owen presented the London news over the weekend!

Hasnt that changed now though? I thought non news regional progs had been reduced to 1 hour a week or something for the English regions?

Yup, sorry, English regions now at the quite annoying "Other 1:04" as of 21st July. Wales remains the same.

LOL Laughing

I remember something called "First Past The Post" a year or three back, only shown on ITV1 Wales (still called HTV then). It was basically Politician Idol. Shocked

Were the Welsh Assembly really that desperate for Assembly Members? Confused

I have abosultely no time for any "Popstars" type shows, and any variation thereof (e.g. "Soapstars" ). FPTP has to be the wierdest variation of the format.

I mean... "auditioning" for politicians , of all things?! WTF? Rolling Eyes

I think HTV began their pop-idol type shows with a successful run to find a new presenter- with the series entitled, "Presenters." It was presented by Gabby Logan and featured a panel of a four judges where the nasty one was Jaci Stephens.
Then there was a series to find a local politician - the programme was indeed called "First past the post." This format was then adopted for a network version prior to the last general election - the name of the network series escapes me.

Did she? I missed that. Zoe Thomas is my current fave anyway. Shocked

Aww, its just like old times with pictures of the delightfully sour Cath being posted on TV Forum. Why doesnt she read the news anymore though?

Wasn't the network version called something like "Vote For Me!" ????

I think the other English regions will start their Soccer Night series in a few weeks - from what I know they don't start their run until a few weeks after the football season begins unlike what HTV Wales have done.

As for regional programmes getting repeats, I'm pretty certain most of the regional Crime Fighters series have been shown on Men and Motors in the past year, and some other stuff like The Zoo and Zoo Vet at Large have popped up on Sky Travel.

I noticed last night that ITV London's How London Was Built series with Adam Hart-Davis was a co-production with the History Channel.
