Yes they are the 'Coming Next' hearts, although rarely seen, perhaps they are waiting in the wings to become part of a new ident for GMG Channels.

I hate, oh, how I hate the whole ITV hearts thing. That tune is the most horrific ever to be used in Britain, and the graphics (ESPECIALLY on HTV Wales) are dismal.
Most other ITV regions have the little films, i.e the Bloke painting the floor, the whizzing ferris wheel, the torches in the woods...
Well the GMG stations don't have the short films before the idents anymore either. The HTV version of the Generic idents looks like one of the better ones in my opinion. Just look at poor Border.

In the last few days I have visited the Granada Media Group website.
Coincidentally, that's been given a new look, just as Yorkshire TV's website has.
But on the Broadcasting pages for each of the ITV companies that GMG owns, there are no links to the Yorkshre TV website, nor to the other web sites of the GMG owned ITV companies.

I have just visited the Granada Media Group website (again), and have found that you can access the websites of GMG owned companies (including the ITV companies as well), by clicking on the 'Contacts' section of the homepage.
Be warned though - the site can take some time to load (as I have discovered)!

Not true - Meridian still use their short films all the time!
