One year ago More4, Sky Three and ITV4 were the latest channels to be launching on digital TV.
At the time we had a poll running here on which channel you thought would be the best addition to your TV line up - but as the archive seems to be broke I can't dig it out. IIRC though it was More4 that won the vote.
So one year on which channel do you think has been the best addition to Digital TV - and have they met your expectations?
Right, can't say any of them are that good. Like having 3 pairs of socks left at the bottom of the drawer all too small 2 with holes in etc
Have never watched ITV4 so that ruled out, Sky Three I've sat and watched Futurama and Brainiac repeats on (when I still had it). More 4 watched maybe half a dozen things on....
Sky Three has definately been better to have than Sky Travel on Freeview, ITV4 is good for...well, not a lot really, but More4 is a very classy product. More4 definately.
I have dipped into ITV4 - mainly that programme called Idaho with that guy from Star Trek and that puppet show - you can see they made a lasting impression on me! Also Ive caught some boxing and football on ITV4 aswell.
I think Sky Three is the best addition to Freeview though - but maybe not the best channel per sey.
Sky Three is really a watered down version of Sky Two which is already a watered down version of Sky One. BUT it is offering a Sky channel which is offering something totally different to a lot of other channels out there even if they are now third hand repeats. A token gesture from SKY....
Im 50/50 between ITV4 and Sky Three on this one. ITV4 seems to be the only channel offering material that hasnt been shown on other channels (in the uk) first and doesnt rely (nearly) entirely on repeats from other channels.
