BRING BACK TO BRUM!!, IT Looked good coming from the Politics Show Set.

It wasn't done from the Politics Show set, it was done in a temporary set, put up down by the canal!

So, Grandstand's not fashionable or a suitable platform any more, but there's room for this lightweight drivel.

The involvement of all regions has been much reduced as well with just a few producers being based in the major centres. The additional 5 minute regional opt at 1925 has also been dropped.

Or, to put it another way:-
Last August's One Show was but a pale immitation of the original Nationwide; yet they've now found a way to make the new One Show a pale immitation of last August's version.

Well done the BBC!

I believe what you meant to say was the August One Show was absolutely fantastic but the new one's a pale imitation of Nationwide.

I hope they don't change the music.I really liked that.

An opinion, by its nature is neither right nor wrong. It's an opinion. Gonk.

I'll second that.

For saturdaymorning's benefit:

Opinion: (from Dictionary.com)
1. a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.
2. a personal view, attitude, or appraisal.

Nadia Sawalha will not return as presenter of BBC1's early evening strand The One Show, after announcing she is pregnant.
The BBC said Sawalha had made the decision herself and would not return to the show after her maternity leave.

Adrian Chiles, her co-presenter on the early evening show, will instead front the year-long strand by himself when it returns.

The revamped show was originally expected to launch early this year, but it is now thought it will air in early summer.

"Nadia will not be presenting the show with Adrian when it returns," a spokesman said. "We won't be replacing her."

Ah great, what's the betting this will be the BBC's version of 'Tonight with Adrian Chiles' with added viewer mobile clips and waffle thrown in.

Oh no, they really need more than one anchor - I don't think a single-headed teatime magazine would ever work. Perhaps they're not throwing enough money at it... then they could employ more people and make it a little more Nationwide -esque.
