Good to see Moira returning. She was always a competent newsreader and presenter and a real shame she was axed from the BBC.
I think that had she been a trained journalist she would have been kept longer. Saying that, she was capable of anchoring many bulletins and, in recent times, presented the Breakfast Briefing for half an hour, which consisted of more than simply reading an autocue, so she already had plenty of journalistic skills.

I think i preferred the input of showbizguru
Given the description of the programme on digiguide it appears she'll just be providing the narration, it won't be like moira undercover or anything like that.
DOCUMENTARY: Dispatches
On: Channel 4 (104)
Date: Monday 9th February 2009 (starting in 1 day)
Time: 20:00 to 21:00 (1 hour long)
Too Old To Work.
With the number of unemployed in the UK nudging two million, Dispatches reveals the ageism rife amongst employers and recruitment agencies. The investigation reveals that being 'older' - even just over 45 years old is a risk in the workplace. Older workers are more likely to lose their jobs and fail to secure another position.

Yes. It was quite interesting.
They tested someone in their 30s against someone at "retirement age" to see if there was a drop off in ability to perform tasks, efficiency and effectiveness and so on.
There was little, if no, difference in those tested.
Did you manage to catch Carol Thatcher's exclusive interview in the Mail the, Mr Guru?

Now now, we mustn't go off-topic because that's a banning offence.
Let's just stick to the usual banalities and watch the tumbleweed drift by.
I always thought the point of the BBC getting rid of Moira Stuart was the fact that newsreaders rather than multl-skilled journalists are an anachronism.
But fair play to the old girl for picking up the voice-over gig although to be honest hers has always sent me to sleep.
