BBC One Wales viewers will be miffed when they find out that Rip Off Britain isn't actually on next. I'm sure all will be forgiven when they see this though...

Every time the One Show gets cut short for whatever reason, it takes forever and a day to turn up on the iPlayer than it would if it were an episode of the normal length.
Incidently I'm surprised that the BBC haven't packaged up some One Show reports as standbys/fillers. They're a good length, mostly timeless and non-offensive
I think most One Show reports are only copyright cleared (stills, archive, Equity, MU etc.) for a single UK broadcast - and a large chunk of them are made by independent production companies rather than the BBC.
There's also the issue that they films are not made to be broadcast stand-alone - there is usually a studio intro to them - though you could probably re-edit them to make sense standalone.
