No mad dash, then!

Was going to say that was quite poor by pres leaving a black screen up for so long, but they're in the same building as The One Show aren't they?
Good to see a filler rather than crashing into the NC or padding with trails.

No, they handled it quite well. Which is more than can be said for BBC One/Red Bee.

BBC One Wales missed the start of the filler programme - they've crashed into it at 7:24pm after a brief intro over the breakdown slide from the announcer.

BBC Wales seem to have been caught on the hop, they've just crashed into the Nigel Slater filler halfway through off the back of their (much better than network) apology caption

I agree. But it's that look on the presenters' faces - you can see the same thoughts going through their minds I know I and my colleagues get at work when the fire alarm goes off: 'is it for real?' !

Of course BBC1 playout is in the same building as The One Show's studio.
Presentation didn't pick up until long after the VT had faded to black, and the annos were pre-recorded, with references to a 'fault' and 'something extra' which makes me suspect that the playout director programmed in a rough duration for the report, and then the breakdown/filler to time. Presumably they were either out the building too or too busy to run it manually

BBC scotland had a strange cooking clip, then went 3mins early into the next programme
