BBC Sport will use world feed for other sports not here.
Obviously with the last Olympics being a home Olympic Games the BBC had more presenters, commentators and reporters than ever before so this time they are not using the likes of Gary Lineker, Mishal Hussain for the studio and people like Jake Humphrey has left and Sue Barker has stepped back from other sports but some names are missing for the first time in a good while such as Jim Neilly, Rob Walker, Paul Dickinson (who is ill), Barry Davies, Mitch Fenner and Huw Edwards.

Blimey, no Derbyshire on BBC2 for the whole period!

So I take it that HD will take space from CBeebies HD for the BBC Four extension. CBBC HD must be for the red button?

Surprised tennis doesn't get it's own commentary team, or golf. I'd have thought both would have warranted their own BBC teams.

The BBC is using the words "reduced coverage": the current mangled wording reads:
This leaves the possibility that CBBC HD could temporarily appear on say, multiplex COM8, leaving a 24/7 slot for BBC RB HD. CBeebies HD already has "reduced coverage".

Users are advised to check availability on their sets for series links set for CBBC HD and CBeebies HD will not record, and if these need to be reset for CBBC SD/CBeebies SD.

On the phone their hand, it's a shame Sue Barker isn't featured. I know she only does tennis now, but I would have hoped the Olympics would be a 4 yearly exception.
Having said that she only had about 2 hours per day at London

The huge positive from this is that Clare Balding and Mark Chapman appear to be the lead presenters - especially happy about the latter who I think it probably the best sports presenter the BBC have at the moment.

I'm guessing the listings include the BBC News at One / Six / Ten as I doubt they'd move that to Two.

She did 4-7pm and the ceremonies, so probably the best slot out of primetime.
The BBC noticeably using fewer presenters in longer slots this time - Hazel doing a shift twice as long as any at London 2012, though relatively short to what she'd do at the golf. Obviously the time difference affects things this year as most key events are overnight, though two of our key sports, Rowing (John Inverdale) and Cycling (Claire Balding), will be during our afternoon and evening.
Not so sure on BBC4 being used so extensively - would probably be better to use BBC2 for daytime and especially overnight and BBC4 for primetime.
