That's Al Jazerra News.

Thanks! They've quite a big presence here then, with the sports channel's studios on the tower block and on the South Bank.

Noticed while I was out today that Swiss TV have a little studio at the Swiss Olympic House near London Bridge, although from their big screen coverage I could see they have a larger one at the IBC. Also spotted the main France Televisions studio on the other side of the Thames in the French House so it seems a few of the broadcasters are making use of the Olympic Houses. A friend said they saw a studio at the Danish one in St Katherine's Dock as well.

Yes Al Jazerra have got a big operation with their own dedicated studio over the river thames, I think its quite close to the London Studios and their news operation from the Olympic Park.

NRK, DR and SVT all have studios with windows.

Nordic folk love their natural light, if you've ever visited the region in winter, you'd understand why !

Jag vet... I'm a frequent visitor!

CCTV, TVE (Spain), Record Brasil and Sky Italia are some of the occupants of the OBS Tower.
It also has pictures of NRK’s scaffold-top studio.

Interesting - there was some quite annoying air-con flutter hitting a window treatment on the bit of NRK I saw.

AIUI the BBC used a polarising filter system for their studio in Beijing, but haven't in London.

The Thames studio is at the back of The London Studios, ITV do all their English language sports production.

There is a second studio base, similar to the BBC's, AIUI - which some broadcasters are using - but I suspect many can't afford it.

I've not seen any pictures of the view from here, but I think you can only really see the stadium, and very little of the rest of the park.

I don't know if this is the same studio, but this is what SVT's studio looks like:

A rather cramped and basic set.

SVT are using an edited version of the OBS ident to start their broadcasts, with their own endcap replacing the OBS logo. Graphics are inspired by the official London 2012 look.

I noticed Channel 4 showed a fair amount of stuff from this morning on Channel 4 News - I thought if you weren't the BBC you were only allowed to show still photographs until 24 hours after an event?

I'm sure the Guardian said that non rights holders were allowed 6 minutes a day.

To be fair that's not a great cap - they do go wider and show the Olympic rings on the floor, and they've got a decent view. Simple, and works for them. AIUI each studio camera is sent back separately via fibre to Stockholm, where the show is directed from. (The BBC are doing the same with the BBC Sport studio for Olympic Breakfast and the 0010 Olympic Sportsday - both of which are being directed in Salford)

NRK appear to have bought 3D animation from the same source as the BBC - the NRK opening titles are in an identical style to the 3D stuff the BBC has been using.

Do you mean the animated aerial views of London? I would guess that they were commissioned by OBS as they can sometimes be seen when the broadcaster cuts early to the OBS feed, panning over London to end up at the stadium/location where the event in question takes place.

One example to make sure we are talking about the same thing:

SVT are using the Olympic Stadium version as the titles for its highlights magazine.

They were developed with the BBC, then supplied to the broadcasters covering the games as a way of 'taking viewers from one event to another'
