Like the Danish TV2 stuff - simple, clean, effective. Also like them using English (which 99.999999999999% of Denmark understands *) in their programme titles - nice little touch. (Haven't watched any Danish coverage yet - will hope to tomorrow - are DR and TV2 sharing? Or are TV2 covering it as non-rights holders in a News context?)

They seem to share it, a very detailed rundown of what is shown by which broadcaster is available here:

DR has three different streams on DR1, DR2 and DR HD, while TV2 only seem to use their main channel.

Can't find the Channel 9 titles at the moment but as Seven did they have that over zealous copyright warning at the beginning - the only nation I know to do it and puts the start of the broadcast on a real downer IMO. Has anyone seen the Foxtel titles?

Here's Nine Network's titles, with that infamous copyright warning:

The CTV opening, though rather harshly it's been announced midway through their coverage of the games they've lost the Canadian rights and 2014/16 will be on CBC.

This will delight some American sports fans- cable companies in cities / areas near the border tend to carry a CBC station but not CTV- and sports aren't blacked out. A lot of US viewers tended to watch the Olympics on CBC and were rather unhappy when it came to Vancouver and they found they were stuck with NBCs coverage.

Antipodean relations are a bit stormy trans Tasman.

I don't know why I found this so funny, hopefully I'm not the only one...

^ What's the point of such gigantic but empty set?

Anyway, NBC is in new ''controversy'' though this time I don't see the big deal. Rolling Eyes

NBC forced to apologise after ill-timed ad features a monkey doing gymnastics - right after showing Gabby Douglas' gold medal victory

Usain Bolt ident just shown on Channel 4 before the second episode of The Simpsons. Not sure if this is news or not, if I was sure it was something unusual, I would have posted this in the Channel 4 thread.

Because they're NBC... They have almost an entire floor of the IBC (with a branch of Starbucks inside their area apparently...) Pointless isn't it?

And why do they present Sport as if it is News? I just don't get it.

And don't get me started on the US obsession with dark wood and fake living room sets (not that NBC Sport is a fake living room set- but load of US shows use them)...

I think that part of the set could be called fake living room or perhaps fake drawing room.

That's simply ridiculous, isn't it?

Hadn't seen that. Thanks for reinforcing my point!

Why? Why? Why? (Interesting they don't appear to bother with real windows - just projectors)

But surely it's very important to have all those book cases in the studio. I'm sure during down-time they want to do a little light reading... Rolling Eyes
