With Murray in the tennis final, I wonder if Sue might go down to Wimbledon present live courtside, like she does during Wimbledon?

Unlikely to be courtside, as the feed from there will be the international OBS destined one, she might go to present from the Media Terrace

If she goes there, she'll be courtside. No point otherwise.

I don't see how the OBS operation would stop the BBC doing stuff independent of that feed.

They had Ore Oduba courtside today, interviewing Murray post-match. Wouldn't be surprised to see Sue there - if not her I'm certain another presenter will be there.

Didn't see that, are you sure that was a BBC Sport interview and not one for BBC News?

I hope they put in a big effort for the tennis final. They have John McEnroe as part of their team but to my knowledge havent really used him much for tennis coverage so far. Would be great if we saw him alongside Sue and Tim Henman courtside for the repeat of Wimbedon final

You do realise he's mainly working for NBC, don't you? And just doing a little bit of BBC work. I imagine McEnroe will be commentating for them.

Well, he could always go live on the Beeb and record the commentary for NBC later... Wink

That's true. He never did for Wimbledon though.

EDIT: I'm watching some NBC coverage now, and I'm sure they said they're airing it live.

A single highlights stream (as has been the case at previous games ISTR) would be good - but there isn't a bottomless pit of money...

Has anything continued on the Sport Multiscreen highlights wise? It might have been wise for them to repeat some sessions (in full) in the evening - notably things like cycling and rowing - but I guess the focus has been online for people wanting to catch up on sessions.

The evening BBC One programme has been getting an early morning repeat on BBC Three. (Also, the 3D highlights appear to be repeated at 7am and then again at 8am on the HD channel.)

By the way, are the OBS using Arial on their feeds? Gosh, that's awful. Isn't Britain the heart of the modern typography? Why didn't they ask Fontsmith for something?

the graphics do have a very American look to them, the small capital letters particular look very strange.

That's what we said on day one and we wouldn't be surprised if NBC get a strong input, if that's the case I'd rather they just had their own feed with Americanised graphics on them. If the BBC can do it for World Cups there is no reason why OBS can't do it.

The inclusion of the sound on the replay wipe hasn't been half as annoying as I thought it would be, this os done to the fact usually you don't notice the sound if the crowd noise is up to high enough levels.
