Apparently the NBC commentator said, “That is not actually Batman but a British folk hero known as Del Boy. Sort of like Robin Hood…”

SO NBC are showing it live, have there learnt there lesson from Opening?

Streaming it, I think, not broadcasting via TV until prime time, AFAIK.

She also voices the Sky help channel and the famous 'Press red now' campaigns.

It's been good, save for One Direction who are intrinsically naff.

completely agree.

When we watch this back in future years, that will be the only hilariously dated band.

In case you were watching the commentary free coverage, you might like to know that the music video for Imagine was digitally remastered by Yoko Ono especially for the ceremony.

Also, George Michael is on stage.

I've enjoyed so far. One direction spoilt it a bit, they didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the music.

That's not the point though, it's not a ceremony people are really going to watch back in years to come. It's a ceremony which is happening now in the present time, so should represent things of now as well as the great history of music.

So you think of George Michael, Pet Shop Boys, Madness, heck even The Beatles as current?

We got a flash of this during Jessie J's performance:

Glad it didn't last too long!

Let's face it, we were spoilt by the Opening Ceremony.

This was never going to be on a par with that, and probably unfair to compare the two.

But ... Russell Brand: why? (for anything.)
