Here is the famous theme that NBC has been using for the past 25 or so years. It was created by John Williams the famous movie scorer. He also did the theme for NBC Nightly News. Its very powerful and commanding presence. Everyone recognizes the DUM-DA-DUM-DUM...intro. Have a listen.NBC's OLYMPIC THEME courtesy ilovewavs.com

Yes, I agree. I thought it sounded a bit of a "difficult" track to use as a theme (congratulations if you understand what the heck I'm on about), but the more I hear it, the more it grows.

As for that NBC theme... no thanks.

I'm loving this year's Olympics, there's just something a bit special about it (from it's birth place). Sends a shiver down my spine when I see the 'Welcome Home' signs around the pools and stuff.

Also loving the BBC's coverage and the opening titles/music - it just fits with the whole atmosphere.
