The (old) ITV News Thread

Why was tonight's 10.30 bulletin branded 'ITV News' and not 'ITV News at Ten'?

Are they phasing out the News at Ten brand ahead of a permanent move to 10.30?

Could be a coincidence, but ITV.com's listings for the NC tomorrow say:

2200 - 2230 ITV News with Trevor McDonald

whereas it normally says News at Ten

However Owen introduced the 1.05 repeat as 'News at Ten' just now

They cant really call it news at ten if it doesnt always start at ten!!!

Hence the better name "News at When"

Oh look at those pictures!! He looks so proud to be sitting in that chair. And that picture on the front has got to be used in some kind of next caption design. Just imagine seeing that on ITV before the Morning News - what a treat it'd be!!

Never knew that he worked at BBC World though, vaguely remember him on News 24 but never knew he may have worked with *THE* Stephen Cole. I always knew Owen had good contacts.

Indeed, he was obviously having a laugh when those were taken, that one of him stood in front of the big screen is especially daft, and that one with him creeping from behind a camera!

I'm pleased to see that they're running "Thursday's News at Ten" captions on the overnight repeats again - they've been rather lax about that lately.

Bit of a shaky start for Katy, but GOD she's fab!!!
