Yeah Robert's obviously on holiday and Adrian, although making a good Washington Correspondant, will no doubt return soon.

I think people like Mark Webster, Paul Davies, Richard Slee, Harry Smith, Catherine Jacob etc need to get a post, foreign or at home.

They've done it once or twice before, but I reckon ITVNC ought to have more double anchored bulletins in the week, especially at Breakfast, Afternoon and Evening.

My pairings would be as follows :

Breakfast : Felicity Barr & Owen Thomas
Afternoon : Katie Derham & Andrew Harvey
Evening : John Suchet & Leyla Deybelge (if she ever comes back from maternity)

Yes, that is a good idea - although Andrea would work with John quite easily too. I wouldn't leave Owen & Felicity for Breakfast, more for most of the mornings, since you can't watch it on some platforms untill gone 9.30!

I agree with the idea of the dual anchoring, plus the News Channel should strengthen its sports team, rather than the presenters reading the sports news a separate person.

I'm not too keen on that, I think Chris Rogers is better than just overnights.
I also don't think Lauren Taylor is a very good anchors, not as good as Andrea or Shulie.
I also don't think it is wise to repeat NAT at 11.30pm.

The NBC Nightly News could replace a couple of the NAT repeats, as ITV NC currently use a lot of their reports.

I'd say NaT at 11:30 partly because it fills the gap between the evening and nightly presenters, but also say your out for the evening (like I am sometimes) I miss NaT so watch it at midnight, but I'd rather watch it just a bit earlier.
I'd also suggest ITV stop using NBC reports and get all those thousands of ITVNC out and about.

One other thing, has anyone noticed this coming week there are only 2 News at Tens, with Monday's at 22:45, and Tuesday's and Friday's at 22:30?

You may also like to know that the last time the Monday to Thursday News at Ten wasn't scheduled for 10, was Monday 19th May!

They are saving up the all important 52 exceptions to use when there are high rating dramas coming up

Thesedays, the brand has totally gone to pott, they may as well revert back entirely to shoving a later bulletin, and putting more effort into lunchtime and evening bulletins, i doubt they will ever recapture the audience numbers and opinion as they did until 1999.

I think Felicity Barr is far too good for just sport. My suggestion is:
5:30-Morning News with Joyce/Jemma Woodman
6:00-Felicity/Owen-to make Itv and GMTV more unified, perhaps GMTV could ditch newshour and maybe simulcast an hour of the NC. If this is not possible, they could link up say every half hour for headlines or news in brief from the NC.
9:30-Rachel McTavish/Chris Rogers
11:00-Leyla/Andrew Harvey
12:00-To be able to present a proper programme and have rehearsels for the Lunchtime news, perhaps a half hour Sports/Business/Special report/Entertainment programme from another studio
12:30-Lunchtime News
