r people here really such sad no lifers. who cares where robert somebody or other has gone. who really cares enough to count the weeks of somebodys absence. i registered here because i love telly but i didnt expect such a miserable bunch of degenerates

Owen Thomas also did the 5pm bulletin on the News Channel. Lloyd Bracey seems to be doing overnights lately

Since Sharon Grey has gone it seems to be Owen, Lloyd & Joyce alternating on overnights.
Great to see Owen presenting in the day!

I'm wondering if Joyce will eventually become a fulltime Newscaster on the channel; she's presented overnight for a while and has lost her post as Transport Correspondant.

You can get ITV News readers autographs...

Go to www.ebay.co.uk and search for ITN - there will be people selling brand new autographs, although only a few newscasters autographs are being sold...
(Andrea Catherwood is there, I THINK Katie is on there, she was last week... but keep checking on and off as autographs will keep on coming..,)

Has anyone taken over the Transport Correspondant's job? Or is it another post to be filled by whoever is available that day?
On the News Channel they often have reports from other reporters (like Jason Farrell, James Dyson, Selm Siraj, Kavitha Prasad etc) are these freelance or are they permanent news channel staff?

Well it seems posts are being dropped all the time, once upon a time there was Industrial Correpondant, Business Correspondant, Midlands Correspondant, Diplomatic Correspondant etc and currently we don't even have an Africa or Ireland Correspondant. I think ITV News needs to get more correspondants around the world and also have posts like Education Correspondant, all those people reporting for the news channel from nowhere is pointless.

That's one of the problems with ITV News, there are so many 'General Reporters', surely some of those could convert into a specialist area?
The News Channel reporters are bad, you rarely see them only hear them and even when reporting on events abroad they are not over there getting first hand accounts of the news, they are at ITN voicing the reports.
