lol @ the use of Christopher Rogers instead of Chris Rogers.
I think schedule A is a lot better, the ITV NC needs more male presenters thats for sure!

On Mediaguardian.co.uk there is an article about Granada and Carlton setting up an ITV News Division if they merge. For me this is a step completely in the wrong direction. Why are ITV so keen to move away from ITN? ITN is a trusted brand (or was) and by trying to remove themselves they are completley ruining it.
I think they need to distinguish between different programmes on the News Channel. They are trying to push this thing of having well known presenters but if you don't know when these presenters are on isn't thier whole advertising technique failing?
Also anyone else notice the presenters surprise at getting 6000 votes today?

The news channel stops broadcasting live at 1 am. at 1 am there is a news summary for 7 mins then they have a 30 min recording and then at about 22 mins to the hour they have another news summary and they continue this for the rest of the night until 5:30 am when the morning news starts. has anyone got any info or ideas about the revamp in 2004
: what would you like to see changed in 2004

Apparently the ITV News Channel Tony Martin text vote got 24,000 responses today! That's quite amazing, especially as Sky never reveal the miniscule amount of votes they get!

Yes, it seems as if the ITV News Channel are now going in and out of breaks with a "ITV News Channel : Breaking News for Britain" graphic and plinky plonky piano music.

Yes, Felicity Barr certainly now likes it. It enters breaks and returns to the channel with these graphics, often with a different background including studios and outside shots. The only exception is the headlines every half hour where it enters with the normal ITV News music. I believe the first one went out at 7:15 this morning, although I could be wrong.
It takes a while to get used to, but I quite like it. Basically you have the background, and top centre to the screen you have the ITV News logo like seen in the bottom left corner, with a ITV like bar saying channel on it. Underneath that is the text in the normal font, ''Breaking News for Britain''. The music is not that different to the IBM market sponsor music.

Well I quite like them, something different to that irritating sting every 15 odd minutes:
