Jemma Woodman did the ITV News Headlines at 5.55am on ITV1 during the Christmas and New Year period last year.

That Norman McLeod I think presents North Tonight. They seem to be going through the regional presenters, so far we've had London Tonight presenters, Granada News, then there were those Jones' last weekend as well, where were Sian Jones and Hannah-Stewart Jones from?

The question is who will appear next!

This is getting ridiculous now - where are Andrew Harvey and Leyla Daybelge (the two most senior newsreaders on the ITVNC!)

Leyla wont be back for a while yet. She had twins and took extended maternity leave. As for Andrew Harvey - he's hardly been away for long. Probably on holiday.

Something I've also wondered, why did they change the Markets sting to have the Weather sting music!

Now we get the same sting four times in the space of 5 mins, did they loose the tape of the other sting or something!

I think thats because the old sting was part of the old IBM sponsorship music, which has now changed. Staying with that subject, what's the woth in having an "ITV Markets" graphic anyway? Why not just go straight into it like Sky?

No, the old sting was from the old ITN News Channel package, and was also used for the business news on the former ITN News Direct 97.3 radio service

With it being summer it looks like ITV News on ITV1 is running with just three presenters each day this week.

Monday to Wednesday is Nicholas Owen at Lunchtime, Nick returning to join Katie Derham on the Evening and then Trevor McDonald on News at Ten

Thursday and Friday is Nicholas Owen at Lunchtime I think, Katie Derham and John Suchet on the evening with John returning for News at Ten

If anything it's a surprise that Trevor is still there, isn't he normally into his 3 month sabatical by now ?

Well Tonight with Trevor McDonald is still scheduled for next week as well. Or will it be Tonight with Trevor McDonald with Fiona Foster?!

Yes, Trevor normally has to be transported off to be cryogenically frozen and put into cold storage a few weeks back.

It's going to be a strange few month's with Shulie Ghosh & Leyla Deybelge off. Prepare for James Eyebrows and Bill Neely.

It should be noted that tonight's ITV News at Ten actually started dead on ten, and what with ITV having a shorter headline sequence, actually started the news before the BBC. I suppose as the bond film continues after the news, they can run on time
