Katie is charming and excellent at what she does , but she does need to work more on her image ,the hair needs to be cut and the outfit she had on today looked nice for winter .
I feel cheeky and mean writing the above ,but when Katie started at ITN she always looked so well groomed and she does suit her hair shorter .I think motherhood has taken it's toll she looks done in somedays .The best female at ITN is Leyla ,she has it all going on i hope when she comes back they use her more on ITV 1 .
Look at the early photos, she is all prim and proper like Jane Hill. OK. But there is nothing wrong with how she looks now - she grew her hair and wore more trendy stuff. It's good to see a bit of difference in the news fashion stakes, and she looks gorgeous in the process.

At the end of the news headlines at 3 Katie was saying goodbye and behind her was the ITV 1 ident covering the whole set .Looked abit like some ITV 1 IVC except she was sitting in front of the ITV 1.
Kaite Derham was doing the 3pm in the other studio with the fake background and the newsroom was there, then it turned into a ITV1 logo with a blue background.
The thing that irritates me about ITV News is that they insist on puting quotes type things in the headlines. It looks very amatuerish I think. The speech is either too long or too short and you get a long patch of silence. I wish they would either put another headline in, go back to four headlines or use it just when they need to. The same with the "Coming Up" section just before the break.

I think the problem is that they don't have access to a headline bed without the bongs in, so they have to fit a small one in to fit. When they put quotes in during the headlines of the BBC News they tend to use the bed where there is a gap in the bongs

Indeed how bizzare, is it that easy for someone at ITN press the wrong button and show an ITV1 ident!
