What the hell is that !!!? What happened to the itv corporate look?

Is this the new logo for the updated itv news?

I dont suppose anyone has any screen grabs of Fiona Foster please???

Well to be honest that was the only reason I had the TV card on, to get some caps of Fiona on ITV News. Then the whole breakdown thing happened during the sport. I only got two in the end, and one of those was on the wrong channel..

Yep and it has nothing to do with how the featured programme (in this case ITV News) looks, because its just a generic caption. Of course in the days of regional continuity, that would have (in some cases) been a slide, with an image relating to the featured programme.

Indeed. The daytime clouds are used as breakdown captions and hasty break statics as well, for foreign things or an afternoon film, if you like ~

Did this caption show on Scottish TV as well because STV never show anything to do with ITV1 look. Also last night ITV1 Idents were shown for a split second after the STV ones. That happened a few times.

I am sooo happy Fiona Foster is on ITV News. She is such a lovely person and I think this news is just fantastic. She invited me into Breakfast News when I was only 16 years old, and then got me a job at London TOnight when she started there.

Fine, but not with News at Ten as well.

I think something like this would be best:
9.00 ITV News Summary
9.05 Drama e.t.c.
10.40 ITV Nightly News and regional news
11.15 Night-time schedule

Then if a major occurance occures, the schedule changes as follows:
9.00 ITV News at Nine
9.15 Drama e.t.c. (was 9.05)
10.45-11.15 ITV Nightly News and regional news


Also - the longer ad breaks for the rest of the year - where does the time actually come from?

Yes it did happen on Scottish tv. Is it just me, but would any fello stv viewers , like to be part of the itv1 network, cause i would. The continuity announcers voices really bug me on scottish. ITV1 SCOTLAND would be much better and in line with the rest of the UK, bar UTV.

However, not too long ago during a GMTV ad break an advert appeared for a couple of mornings for at home with the braithwaits, and it used the generic itv1 logo and not the scottish logo. Can anyone explain that?

All trails within GMTV carry the ITV1 logo, and this is the only time SMG viewers get to hear about this "ITV1" business. UTV carry ITV Night Time as well as England and Wales so they get ITV1 branded trails overnight too.
GMTV is in charge 0600-0925 and all the trails are ITV1 branded.
