Yes, I'm going to wait a few days before casting my vote!

Why people think it will happen next week I don't know, do people really think ITV News have had time to deal with a relaunch when they've been running at 110% for the past few weeks


Carol Barnes is on the News Channel this weekend by the way, so she is also still working for ITN

I've put the 1st September. The only problem is that ITV News would have to build a new set before changing the current set, as having the News Channel and ITV1 News come from CSO sets would prove difficult. I think a new ITV1 set could be built, and then for the first week of the relaunch the current set would be revamped for the ITV News Channel.

Calm down everyone. THERE IS NO ITV NEWS REBRAND coming soon.

As announced a month or two ago, there is indeed a relaunch planned for this year but it will happen later rather than sooner.

I wasn't aware that we needed calming down. It would happen on a Wednesday/Thursday seen as they're business days of the week.

Loads of news on ITV1 today!

Usually on a Bank Holiday the news bulletins are far and few between and usualy shorter than a normal day!

But today there has been the 12:30-13:00 Lunchtime news
The Early Evening News at 18:30-19:00 both including local news and then a full 30 minute bulletin at 20:00 only ONE hour after the previous bulletin has finished! To make up for this short gap there is also another 10 minute bulletin at 22:30 but no local news content in that one!

Who is this woman on ITV1 News now??

That was a very interesting technical problem wasn't it during the news.

Oh Well. She was good barring the complete crash and technical difficulites. We even had some music over the simple 'ITV News' text!!!

Fiona Foster's great -- it was a shame when she left LT, but that meant that Mary Nightingale was able to move away from just lates and lunchtimes [back when it was a full half hour programme].

As you saw there was a small breakdown in the programme.
All you could see was Fiona and Felicity's chests as they fiddled with their hair and shuffled scripts..
But how cool was that piece of music?! The breakdown music is still more-or-less the same as it was 15 years ago!

Yes that was very odd. The whole screen went black apart from a fraction of the screen at the bottom which meant that all we could see were the presenters chest/cleavage.

It appeared that one of the presenters was doing a lot of pointing to someone as they seemed quite animated, then we went to the light blue, "ITV News" static.

Anyone see ITV Evening News this evening? (5.50pm I think). There was a terrible problem.

They were doing a live link to Leicester City football club, then they whole screen disappeared in to black! apart from a bar about 1/8 of the way up of the bottom of the screen. A quick look on the NC showed that this bar only went accross as far as the logo and clock. They cut back to the studio, but we could still only see this bar, which showed, quite mistakingly, the presenters chest area!

Then they cut the show all together which a nice light blue 'ITV News' screen appear. (with clouds for a blackground effect?) The announcer then played some classy rock music for about 1 min. The NC just displayed their logo.

All returned to normal soon after, with the presenter apologising, and going straight to the next story!
Perhaps a fault due to the change in ITV News coming soon?
