Ah well, looks like the old News at When is back. It started at 10.08 last night!

That was because there was also a short ITV News at Nine at 9 as well, so was only 3 mins later than billed

Nice to see that the News at Nine followed the tradition though, it didn't start bang on 9pm either Razz

Notice on tonight's bang on time ITV News at Nine, the floor image featured the Holly and Jessica story, the first time they've used it for something other than War on/Fall of Saddam

I wonder if ITV might go for a short summary at 9pm on a permanent basis, with a floating later bulletin.

Also, re: News at Ten this week - I like the new shot so the big screen is entirely behind him, with the caption animating on the left - it looks better than the standard big screen shot and the usual window graphics and could work well as part of the new look. Therefore, the ITV News Channel would need little more than a virtual background for broadcasts out of the studio.

I've got good hopes for this revamp. I want a 'real' studio for both ITV News and The News Channel, I want some real investment to go in. I want it to keep the bongs and Big Ben imagery, but go Widescreen.

I hope I will not be disappointed (ahem..News 24 revamps) Razz

Last nights ITV News lost out to BBC, who got 5.2m at 10pm, but the 10.35pm bulletin on ITV1 got 4.3m, which I think it rather impressive for that time of night.

PS: Watermelon got 5.7m viewers last night and is considered a hit - how times have changed!

I'm also looking forward to the new ITV News look. Any idea on what day it will be launched, Good Friday? or perhaps Easter Monday?

I hope these don't disappoint! I don't want to see any of the old look ITV News. I aslo hope the NC will have its own studio!, about time, as it is a bit pikey to share the same!

I hope the breaking news and other graphics are dramitic looking, and are fully animated, as news coverage should be dramatic.
On the ticker subject, I think it should stay, well done ITV for being the first British NC to have one! (even though it was only during special stories) Although, it should be itemised like CNN.

According to itv.com/news Alistair Stewart is presenting the ITV Lunchtime News tommorow on ITV1, and is on right now presenting News Network on the ITV News Channel

I take it we've seen the last of Angela Rippon, Anne Leuchers and Carol Barnes then, the latter being the only one never to appear on ITV1 during the war

Anyone seen the listings on the Sky EPG for Saturday? At 8.50pm, the title is "ITV News (Pre-Rec)". Slip up? Could it be that they are having to put out a pre-recorded bulletin before the News at Nine O Clock because the CSO set is actually being used for News at Nine instead of the main set, as that is being changed for the new look if it happens this weekend.

Also, their are other weird entries on the ITV NC listings on Sky, the Morning News being called something like "2003 ITV Morning News (with ITV1)".

Alastair Stewart is fab, it must be very tiring to present London Tonight and a few hours later rush to ITV News.
